Calling and SMS for Clio - VXT Integration

Hi, It’s Luke here.

In this video I'm going to show you VXT’s integration with Clio.

If you can’t watch the video right now, check out the video summary below.

What is VXT?

VXT is a cloud-based VoIP phone system built for law firms.

Clio Integration Features

Automatic File Notes

With VXT’s Clio integration you can save records of the phone calls that you make in Clio against relevant legal matters.

Automatic Time Entry

20% of time spent on phone calls goes unrecorded. With VXT you can automatically record the time that you spend on phone calls as time entries.

SMS

VXT can be used to send and receive SMS which are again saved to Clio automatically as communication records.

Understand Who is Calling

Because VXT syncs your client database from Clio, when you receive an incoming call that matches a Clio contact, VXT will display their name on the incoming call so you always know who's calling.

Click to Call

Finally you can click to call straight from Clio by selecting highlighted phone numbers.

The VXT Calling Experience

So I'm an attorney and I use VXT for my phone system. I want to make a quick call. Of course, I can click to call straight out of Clio, but I can also search my contact list in VXT by name or number.

When I'm on a call, there are a bunch of controls in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I can click the plus button to add someone to the call, to make a conference call, or transfer the call to a colleague.

I can take my own manual notes during the call, as well as record the call, with the option to turn call recording off and on throughout the call.

After the call, my call recording can be transcribed and saved in Clio. At this point, VXT can recognise if the number is associated with a matter and suggest this to you, but I can also search a matter in Clio by the name or number and save the call directly to it.

Next, I can log my time from the call in Clio as well as select my billing rate.

When that’s all done, I review the notes that I took during the call and hit save. Now all of the data associated with the call I just made is saved in Clio.

How it Looks in Clio

When I take a look at my call in Clio, I can see that I created a time entry and if I jump to communications I can also see the call.

When I click on the note, I can see that it's got the date and time, the parties on the call as the subject, the notes that I took during the call, the transcription of the call and there's a link that I can copy and paste into our internet browser if I wanted to go and review the audio of that recorded call in VXT.

So that's VXT’s integration with Clio! If you want to find out more about the VXT platform, like analytics, contact management, or advanced call routing get in touch with our team.
