How does the MyCase and VXT Phone Integration Work

What is VXT?

VXT is a cloud-based VoIP phone system built for law firms.

MyCase Integration Features

Automatic File Notes

With VXT’s MyCase integration you can save records of the phone calls that you make in MyCase against relevant cases.

SMS

VXT can be used to send and receive SMS, combining all of your communication into one central hub.

Understand Who is Calling

Because VXT syncs your client database from MyCase, when you receive an incoming call that matches a MyCase contact, VXT will display their name on the incoming call so you always know who's calling.

Click to Call

Finally you can click to call straight from MyCase by selecting highlighted phone numbers.

The VXT Calling Experience

So I'm an attorney and I use VXT for my phone system. I want to make a quick call. Of course, I can click to call straight out of MyCase, but I can also search my contact list in VXT by name or number.

When I'm on a call, there are a bunch of controls in the top right hand corner of the screen. I can add someone to the call, to make a conference call, or transfer the call to a colleague.

I can take my own manual notes during the call, as well as record the call, with the option to turn call recording off and on throughout the call.

After the call, my call recording can be transcribed and saved in MyCase automatically.

When that’s all done, I review the notes that I took during the call and hit save. Now all of the data associated with the call I just made is saved in MyCase.

How it Looks in MyCase

When I take a look at my call in MyCase, I can see that it's got the date and time, the parties on the call as the subject, the notes that I took during the call, the transcription of the call and there's a link that I can copy and paste into our internet browser if I wanted to go and review the audio of that recorded call in VXT.
